Diwali Festival: On Diwali, everyone celebrates and congratulates each other. Children buy toys and crackers. Shops and houses are cleaned and painted paintings are done. In the night people worship the Goddess of wealth ‘Lakshmi’. 

In Hindu religion, there is no festival every day, but the main festivals in these festivals are Holi, Dussehra and Deepawali. Diwali festival that spreads light in our lives is celebrated on the new moon day of Kartik month. It is also called Jyothi Gava or Prakash Festival.

On this day the dark night of the new moon awakens with the light of lamps and candles. In addition to the end of the rainy season, the paddy crop in the fields is also ready. The festival of Deepawali comes to the new moon of Kartik Mas. The specialty of this festival is that in the week that the festival comes, there are five festivals.For this reason, there is joy and enthusiasm in people throughout the week. Prior to Deepawali, the festival of thiras festival comes. It is believed that some new utensils must be purchased on this day. Buying new utensils is considered auspicious on this day. Next comes Deepawali, then comes Diwali. The next day, the Govardhan Pooja and the final festival of Bhayyadus comes.

Like other festivals, many religious and historical events are also associated with Deepawali. Lakshmi, one of the fourteen gems received from sea-churning, also appeared on this day. Apart from this, according to Jainism, Mahatma Mahavir’s Mahanvarvana also happened on this day.

Sri Ram Lanka, the ideal man of Indian culture, conquered Naresh Ravana and returned to Ayodhya, including Sita Laxman. On his arrival in Ayodhya, Ayodhya people decorated houses for the welcome of Lord Shri Ram and lamp-light in the night.

Historically, in the important events related to this day, the Sixth Guru of the Sikhs, Hargobindsinh was freed from the prison of Mughal ruler Aurangzeb. King Vikramaditya was sitting on the throne on this day. Sarvoday Leela Acharya Vinoba Bhave was the paradise on the day of Deepawali. The great men like Swami Dayanand,founder of Arya Samaj and famous Vedanti Swami Ramitirtha received salvation on this day.
